product description
The Polarization Insensive Isolator (MPI series) is indeed designed and manufactured according to Telcordia standards. This unique manufacturing process and no optical path epoxy design enhance the high-power processing capability of the equipment. These devices are characterized by high performance, high reliability, and low cost, and have been widely used in erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs), fiber lasers, transmitters, and other fiber optic communication equipment to suppress back reflection and backscattering.
1. The typical peak isolation is 45 decibels.
2. The minimum isolation is within ± 10 nanometers of the center wavelength, and at 23 ℃, it is 29 decibels in all polarization states.
3. The typical insertion loss is 0.6 decibels at the center wavelength and 23 ℃ for all polarization states.
4. The maximum insertion loss is within the range of ± 20 nanometers at the center wavelength, and is 0.5 decibels at all temperatures and polarization states.
5. The minimum return loss is 46 decibels.
6. The minimum polarization related loss is 0.4 decibels at 23 ℃.
7. The maximum optical power (continuous wave) is 300 milliwatts.
8. The fiber type is SMF-28 fiber.
In addition, there are clear specifications for the size and tensile load tolerance of these isolators to adapt to different application scenarios. For example, the size of a single-stage isolator is 3.8 millimeters by 22 millimeters in diameter, while the size of a two-stage isolator is 3.0 millimeters by 25 millimeters in diameter. The compact design and high-performance characteristics of these isolators make them ideal components in modern optical communication systems, providing stable performance and reliable isolation effects in various optical settings.
